We are extremely proud as a school that Glenbervie Primary has been awarded “Sportscotland School Sport Gold Award” for the 2016-2017 session.Supported by Visiting PE Specialist Miss Jenny Munro and local Active Schools Coordinator Doreen Seery a joint effort by pupils, parents and all members of staff has paid off by being presented with this national award on Monday 16th January 2017.
In total there are currently 158 Sportscotland Gold School Sport Award schools across Scotland, 281 Silver schools and 92 Bronze schools. Within Aberdeenshire Glenbervie Primary school is one of only 2 primary schools to gain this highly creditable award.Well done to all involved!Eco Group receives Fourth Green Flag!

The staff, pupils and parents were delighted to receive the news that they had successfully retained their Green Flag status for the fourth time. It was made particularly special because the pupils and community had pulled together to rebuild the School garden after it was severely damaged by Storm Frank. The children were also complimented on their Pupil Action Plans where the pupils led the agenda, meetings and ensured all classes had a role in contributing to our Eco Schools Agenda. It was a huge achievement that has been recognised and supported by the local community. The pupils are now continuing to look at the UN sustainability goals and work alongside our Rights Respecting group to enhance the learning already taking place.
Glenbervie gain Unicef’s RRS level 1 Award

After much hard work and a very successful assessment day the staff and pupils of Glenbervie have received their Level 1 RRS Award.The RRS group now plan to continue with this and look at the next steps to Level 2.
